On June 15, within the framework of the international project “Promoting Socially Distanced and Inclusive Campus Education in Armenian Higher Education Institutions” (Erasmus+ elCAMPUS), representatives of partner universities and organizations held an online meeting of Working Group 2, during which they discussed organizational issues related to the implementation of the programme “Training of Trainers”. 

The meeting provided a detailed review of the training programme’s structure, learning modules, and expected outcomes. Participants presented their proposals and observations with the aim of ensuring the high quality of the programme, its alignment with European standards, and its effective implementation at partner institutions.

One of the key topics of the discussion was the selection of trainers. It was noted that candidates from Armenian universities must be selected through an open and competitive process based on clearly defined criteria. Selected participants will undergo training at European partner universities.

The meeting also outlined the trainers’ subsequent obligations. They will:

- conduct training sessions at their respective universities for a period of at least three years;

- localize and integrate the training programme materials into the activities of their universities’ Teaching and Learning Centers or equivalent structures;

- during the pilot phase of the national certification programme, in March-April 2027, train at least 20 faculty members and staff at their respective institutions.

The meeting further addressed activities planned for the coming months, in particular the finalization of trainer selection criteria, the publication of competitive calls, and the organization of the candidate selection process. It was noted that all participants must be selected by the end of June and must sign corresponding commitment agreements with their universities.

The working meeting once again underscored the shared commitment of partner universities and organizations to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, supporting the professional development of academic staff, and introducing European best practices into Armenia’s higher education system.
